Download WHOIS database

    Does anyone know if it is possible to download the entire WHOIS database? I'm just interested in the list of all registered .COM, .NET and .ORG domain.

 

    No, I don't want to spam people, I just want to do a domain analysis.

Yes it is. I'll look for the link for more information. Here's a blog entry on how one person used domain data.

BTW, there are significant limitations on who the data is available to and for what purposes. Mostly academic or critical network security uses only.

Roni, I never got a copy of it, but apparently you can go to Network Solutions and fill out a form to get it.
